How Your Baby Develops During This WeekThis week of pregnancy happens in your body a lot. Your baby is a small ball of a few hundred cells that divide countless times. Soon, the cell-ball attaches to the wall of the uterus. The placenta begins to produce the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotropin, short hCG. This hormone sends a message to the ovaries to stop ripening eggs because you are pregnant.

How Your Body ChangesMost likely you do not even know you're pregnant. You might notice that you have a slight bleeding, the so-called Nidationsblutung.
