so your children can playfully learn about wind and weather:
What do you need?
A large piece of cardboard or craft paper, crayons, paint, tape, ribbon
Here's how it works:
First, your little one can decorate a large piece of cardboard with felt-tip pens, paint or other crafting materials. Then you roll up the cardboard (the decoration to the outside), so that a kind of long pipe is created.Stick the edge of the paper so that the roll will hold well. Now stick long bow ties that can blow in the wind to one end of the roll.
The weathervane is almost done! All you have to do now is drill two holes into the other end of the weather vane (without the ribbons) and fasten a thread there. Now the weather vane can be held by the thread or hung up (vertically).
On the ribbons, your little meteorologist can see: How strong and where does the wind blow today?
Make a birdhouse!
