SSW 41: you are 41 weeks pregnant

41 Week Pregnancy Update (December 2018).

Anonim

ssw 41: You are now 41 weeks and a certain number of days pregnant! Some call it the 42nd week of pregnancy. (Find out more about calculating your pregnancy week.)

How Your Baby Develops During This Week

Your child has grown further. Children born or born at week 41 of pregnancy weigh on average 3, 6 kilos.

Even if you sometimes think that your baby does not want to leave the cozy cave of your stomach anymore - at some point it has to be done. But as long as there are no problems, your doctor will not consider next week whether the birth should be initiated.

About five to six percent of healthy pregnant women give birth to their baby three or four weeks after the calculated date.

How Your Life Changes

It's hard to stay calm when the expected delivery time passes and nothing has happened. Impatience mixed with anger, excitement and anxiety is normal. But do not worry, you will not be pregnant forever. It is very likely that your contractions will start this week - and if not, you can have your labor pains next week.

In the meantime, you should contact your doctor or midwife immediately if you lose fluid vaginally or if your baby is significantly less active. But you must not forget: In your stomach is now pretty tight and your child does not have much room to move!
