in general, pregnancy is considered a matter which mainly affects women. Few women believe that their partners really understand what it's about. And the fact is, many of us fathers do not actually do that. We talk about it. We show interest. We feel comfortable (as far as possible). We even try to read about it, at least a bit. But let's be honest: we are far from really understanding what it means to have a baby, at least until we are confronted with things like diaper changes and sleep deprivation. It is impossible for a man to understand what it is like to carry a baby under his heart for nine months and feel his kicks.
Nevertheless, we can participate. We too can listen to the first heartbeat, refrain from beer and wine, brood over names books with our partner and much more.
Here are ten more ways you can get involved.
