Changing bag

Ready to buy or pack yourself?

A diaper bag belongs to baby's original equipment. As soon as the first days or weeks have passed after the birth, you will take the first small trip with your baby. Since the times are still far away, in which your child no longer needs a diaper and can eat independently, you should always have the corresponding utensils within reach.

Certainly you do not have to buy a diaper bag, you can also easily repurpose an existing bag. On the other hand, the specially made diaper bags convince by a practical interior layout with many compartments, accessories and appealing exterior. Some stroller manufacturers also offer diaper bags to match their stroller, which of course looks accordingly chic. Which variant you choose is your decision. Or those of grandma & Co., because a pretty diaper bag is an excellent gift for birth!

What's in a diaper bag?

Whether purchased or packaged yourself, all the following items should have a place in the diaper bag:

1. A foldable, padded changing mat , which is as well as possible washable.

second A soft (molton) cloth so baby's butt does not have to lie on the cold plastic.

third Diapers in appropriate size and quantity, depending on the duration

4. Wet wipes for cleaning, even in small packaging sizes

5. A Wound Cream - Redness can often show up on the way

6. A change fitting in appropriate size - at least a fresh body, if not only the diaper has become damp

7. One or two burp cloths , especially for nursing babies

8. When your baby gets instant milk, you need a bottle warmer to keep the milk (or tea) warm for a long time (often already integrated in the bag).

. 9 If the baby is already bigger, jar with spoon and bib should fit.

10th In addition, often useful: a cap, a spare pacifier, a packet of handkerchiefs, maybe a toy.

If you do not want to run around with two bags, the diaper bag should be big enough to fit your wallet, keys and cell phone, preferably in a separate compartment.

It's best to refill your diaper bag right after use, so when you return from a trip. Because if you pack the diaper bag right after use, then you still have in mind what's currently missing in the bag and you can break up faster and more calmly next time, because you know that you have everything with you, what your baby needs.

Who offers diaper bags at what price?

If you've decided to buy a diaper bag, consider the following: At some point there will be a time ""after"". It makes sense, therefore, that you either opt for a bag that you like and maybe also has its price - but maybe even for the second child is usable. Or you try to buy a diaper bag, which offers functionally everything that is required, but perhaps will not last so long in quality, but it will be worth the price.

And a third variant: You buy a bag that can be used after the wrapping time as a sports or shopping bag.

There are countless companies, internet shops or specialty stores selling diaper bags. The assortment is huge: they are available in fabric, leather, plastic, bag, backpack and all sorts of colors. Bargain hunters should pay close attention to the offers at discounters. However, with such bargains, you should remember that you are not the only mum with this bag. It may well happen that in a recovery group, three ladies have bought the same bag. The likelihood of confusion is quite high there.

In terms of price, diaper bags are usually between 20 and 150 euros - seldom do you make a bargain for less money. Who loves it exclusively, can spend up to 250 euros.
